Have you ever wanted to line up columns of data in an email using Tabs but gave up trying to figure out how to?
In Microsoft Word it’s easy – press the Tab key. In other text editors it’s not as convenient but it’s not impossible either. Some people accomplish it by copying a Tab from another program and paste it into their document. But there is an easier way:
- Hold your ALT key (don’t let go yet)
- Press and release 0 (zero) on the numeric keypad (does not work with the zero key on the row of numbers above the letter)
- Press and release 9 on the numeric keypad
- Release the ALT key
