I looked at your website and noticed it has a favicon but your blog doesn’t.
What is a favicon?
The Wikipedia definition is “A favicon (short for favorites icon), also known as a website icon, shortcut icon, url icon, or bookmark icon is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage. A web designer can create such an icon and install it into a website (or webpage) by several means, and most graphical web browsers will then make use of it.
Browsers that provide favicon support typically display a page’s favicon in
the browser’s address bar ![]()
and next to the page’s name in a list of bookmarks. ![]()
Browsers that support a tabbed document interface typically show a page’s favicon next to the page’s title on the tab.![]()
How to add a Favicon to your Blog
If you use WordPress (I imagine there are similar add-ons for other blogging tools), install the plugin called Shockingly Simple Favicon. It’s easy especially if you already have a favicon for your website…you can use the same one for your blog. If you don’t already have a favicon, there is freeware that makes it simple. For the sites ZYGR INsites design, we use the Joomla extension Phoca Favicon and then place a in the blog directory. If you don’t use Joomla, there tools such as favicon.ico Generator.
